I have been climbing on and off for about 7 years. Because I haven’t been climbing consistently, I would still consider myself a beginner. To my fellow beginner climbers, shoes make all the difference, and the VTR Defy Shoes from Evolv are a great beginner’s shoe. I have had only one pair of climbing shoes in my life, and they are still kicking today. Keep in mind that no matter what you do, if you climb consistently, your shoes will stink something awesome.
